British Airways has appointed Cushman & Wakefield as its exclusive real estate adviser for the airline's portfolio outside the UK. The appointment is for an initial period of three years from October 2007.
The airline's global real estate portfolio includes offices, engineering/cargo centres, airside facilities and residential accommodation in more than 60 countries.
Cushman & Wakefield was picked as the winner in a tendering process that began in November 2006. The property adviser's brief is to look for ways of maximising efficiency and returns from the property portfolio. Guy Douetil, Apara Guha and Nicola Esam will be the British Airways global account team and the range of services Cushman & Wakefield is contracted to supply will include account management, transaction management, project management, portfolio administration and valuation and advisory services.
