No longer will you have your search confined by street name, post code or area name. Zoomf are very excited to announce the dawning of ‘Visual Search’, where you can draw on a map the area you would like to search for property in.

What does this mean?
This functionality will drastically enhance user experience, gone are the days of entering multiple search queries to try and find your perfect properties, on Zoomf you can now just draw out where you want to search.

How will this help?
Choosing where you want to live is a hard enough task, finding properties in a place you’ve set your heart on can be even harder. Moving is a stressful time and big decisions need to be made. Zoomf want to make property search as easy as possible, which is why we’ve developed this feature. You won’t find visual search on any other property website on the planet (please correct us if we’re wrong). We’ve listened to common queries from house hunters and have tried to address these with the launch of visual search…see for yourself:

I want to live within 5 miles of my child’s school…
If you want to live near a certain location, such as your child’s school or your place of work, just find it on the map and draw around it. Zoomf will then only show you properties that fall in to this catchment area.

I’m interested in living in a number of locations…
If you want to search multiple areas, then draw multiple polygons! Very few people only want to live in one specific area, Zoomf Visual Search allows you to draw as many search areas as you wish, and then you can easily flip between the results for each search without losing your previous polygons.

It sounds a bit complicated…
It couldn’t be simpler! You get as many pins as you need to form the corners of your polygon, we connect the dots and show you all the properties inside your shape. If you don’t like your polygon you can drag and drop the pins until your happy with your search area. You can search in squares, hexagons, tetradecogons, it’s up to you! And don’t worry about exploring other parts of Zoomf and losing your handy work, you can come back to the page and it will be there waiting for you. There are full instructions on the Visual Search page, and once we’ve finished squabbling over who will do the voice-over wer’e going to put up a step-by-step video guide too. Alternatively, the lovely Mark Hopwood has written a very nice ‘how-to’ blog.

Let me get started!!!
To get to the Visual Search wizardry you just need to do a normal search from the homepage and follow the link you will see displayed on the search results page. Easy!
